We upgraded one of our new RAM based SupraExpress 56K modems with
the 1.0 release and now we get 28.8K instead of 38K on our Channelized
T1s. It's really quite amazing. We were banking on the 1.0 client
modems and now we're in even bigger trouble. Ascend contacted us a
month ago beaming with information that the 1.0 client modems would
once and for all solve the specific known problems with Channelized
T1 which we widely use. Despite this, I'm going on vacation and will
completely forget about the 3 months of hard work rewiring,
reconfiguring, testing and fighting over our perfectly fine T1s.
We're having a lot of fun over here.
