K56 rates I think...not 56K.

FWIW, we have been beta testing with this code on the Motorola, and had 
good results. 

What type of line are you dialing into ?

You could have TAC dial into the same line with their K56 modems.

You could try calling into the TAC K56 MAX too to see if you get better
results
to there.

After the connect/failure, what do you get from AT&V1 on the Motorola?
