I assume you have reported your problem to Ascend Customer Service?
Was TR 2145 the trouble report number they gave you for your problem?
If not, then while you may have been misled by the short summary into
thinking this was the solution to your problem, I don't think you can
make any judgements from this sample about how Ascend is doing in testing.
You need to wait for the fix with your TR number to be released. If you
are not sure of the status, you should try calling Customer Service.
If you haven't called to report the problem or if you called but did not
follow up and find out the TR number your problem was assigned, then I
think you need to do so.
If TR 2145 was your trouble report number then your complaint has great
merit and you should immediately call Customer Service to NAK the fix
and ask for escalation. Depending upon the resources available and the
size of the account and the severity of the problem, they might even
send an engineer on site. I would also say that your message showed
very diplomatic restraint (for which you can be congratulated).

I assume you have the TR numbers for these bugs too?
Have you tried using the 6.0.2 release yet?

Well, while I like Ascend, the network hardware market is a competitive
arena and you should go ahead and proceed with replacing it. Maybe you
can arrange some demo models from Cisco or Lucent or 3Com and see which
one works best in your environment before you spend any more money.
Once you have done your evals, then go ahead and dump the Ascend products
- don't wait to sell the Ascends first.
There is a market for used gear - you may not get what you paid for them
but it won't be a total loss and the most important part - your customers -
will be happy.
